About the event

Let’s uncover the full American story by learning how Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders shaped and experienced America as indigenous peoples, colonized US nationals, migrant laborers, immigrants, students, and refugees. While AAPI communities have their own unique narratives, they are also part of the histories of people of color. In this FREE online workshop, get an introduction to these shared stories and the curriculum integration process YURI Co-Director Freda Lin used as a history teacher. Recording available upon registration.

In this workshop, you'll:

  • Learn key AAPI historical narratives often missing from mainstream spaces

  • Discover practical strategies for sharing these stories in your context

  • Access curated resources and primary sources

  • Connect with others committed to bringing inclusive stories into their communities
