This 58-page Teacher Packet was designed to support educators in their preparation for the San Francisco Presidio Officers’ Club Special Exhibition, "Exclusion: The Presidio's Role in World War II Japanese American Incarceration." These standards-based lessons include interactive activities, background information, handouts, and primary sources with differentiated engagement strategies and can be used independently of the exhibition. They invite students to use critical thinking skills to engage with primary source photographs and documents, and euphemistic vocabulary from the World War II time period.
